With a sign on her door that read "Trust your crazy ideas", Anita Roddick enters her home to show you a little bit about her personal space while she reveals how her own crazy idea for the Body Shop came about. She past away in 2007, but her influence is still very relevant. She stood for more than just great business practices; she was a firm supporter of fair trade and she voiced her opposition against animal testing. Anita Roddick also had a big vision about changing the ideals of beauty across the globe, and she contributed significantly. From being a teacher who began her initial start-up of the first body shop in 1976 to a company with well over 2000 stores, Anita gives some good glimpses of how it all unfolded for her and her husband of 30 years, who gave her much inspiration.
"If you do things well, do them better. Be daring, be first, be different, be just." - Anita Roddick
