As a father himself, Chris Pratt, AKA Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, was enchanted to give advice to underprivileged kids at a New York movie theater where the kids from 2 separate charities got a free surprise show and a visit from the star of the film. The kids were thrilled and Chris Pratt was too! He's always got the excited nature of a child and a very free spirited personality who clearly has never let the kid in him escape! Good on you Chris! He stood around for a while to take pictures with as many kids as possible and was abundantly giving high fives.
“I just wanted to come by and say hello and just tell you that I think you’re all very awesome,"
He wanted the kids to know that no matter where they came from, as long as they believe in who they are, and as long they are bold and brave in their pursuit, they can accomplish any of their dreams.
Actors are not inclined to have to be role models and are by no means psychologists or teachers, but it sure is great when they make a personal onus to send an impactful message. Kids pay close attention to some of their favorite action heroes and Chris Pratt takes it upon himself to empower the young generation by giving them some life altering advice as he showered them with some true wisdom. Kids (and adults alike) need to be reminded that they have limitless potential and greatness from within. Chris holds himself highly accountable to make a difference as he did his best to rekindle that self worth in each and every kid reminding them how they are all very awesome. It was certainly a spectacular event to witness these underprivileged kids being told something they rarely hear from the often dark and cold world around them.
"Take it from a kid who grew up having no money, and struggling hard to get by. Just know, if you stick to your path and you believe in yourself and you be courageous enough to be yourself, you can grow up [and] you can be your own Star-Lord.”
Chris Pratt is such a cool dude, because he knows how to remain his true self in a world full of people pretending to be something they are not. He has never been the type to get stifled by fame and money, but he has some serious commitment and desire to entertaining people. And when he's not making movies, he takes great pride in inspiring people, such as he did with these underprivileged kids. In fact he shook up and motivated many adults recently too, for his role in the film, the budding star lost an impressive 60 pounds in about 6 months. This is not the first time, nor the last for Chris as he embarks on his promising career, we are sure to witness much more inspiring events from the ever hilarious and down to earth star.
