“Regardless of what came before or what has yet to come, what’s important at this moment in time is how you choose to respond to the event. Will you fight? Or will you lie down? The choice is yours.” – Dan Green
Finishing Strong is an attitude, its a belief about how we get things done. Passion is the driving force for those with a “Finish Strong” mindset according to Dan Green the founder of FINISH STRONG, LLC. Dan embraces this attitude in everything he does whether writing, speaking, training, inventing, or driving a race car. Dan attributes his finish strong attitude as being the catalyst for all of his success!
How important is what came before or what is yet to come? Can we really do anything at all about the past? Can we do anything in the future? We can only ever actually do anything in the present moment. The way we “choose” to respond to any specific event at any point in time is the deciding factor. Will we fight? Or will we lie down? In other words, will we stand up for what we believe in? Or will we either find or make up an excuse and take the easy way out?
Winning attitudes and losing attitudes are separated by the smallest of margins. Winners finish strong. Losers quit or make excuses. Winners embrace difficulty and obstacles. Losers avoid them. We always have a choice to either continue, or to give up. Perseverance and Persistence are qualities possessed by winners. They are the qualities of finishers.
Mental attitude has the capacity to carry us through our most difficult challenges. One of the most difficult challenges we will face in life is what we do when we lose. When we have given our all, trained as hard as we can, studied every detail, flawlessly applied our tactics, and still come up short, what then? Winners say next! Losers wallow in the woes of their failure and lie down… Winners fight on knowing victory always lies just on the other side of defeat! Never give up, Never give in… Win!!!
