“My theory is that if you look confident you can pull off anything – even if you have no clue what you’re doing.”

Jessica Alba’s 3 Inner Keys to Outer Success:
Jessica Alba Knows Her rue Identity And Never Conformed:
Jessica Alba is a big believer in being your authentic self. She grew up in a fairly conservative traditional Catholic family, yet always considered herself “very liberal” and she apparently identified with being a “feminist” at age 5. “From a very early age, I remember thinking that adults were always acting like assholes. I couldn’t understand why I had to respect them. My pre-school teacher forced me to write right-handed when I was left-handed. I didn’t get why I had to change. Nobody could give me a reason. I have had a big problem with authority ever since.” For her films, she has always been bold about never appearing nude and even has a “no nudity” clause as a part of all her contracts. “I wasn’t given a whole lot in my life. I was on the bottom of the class system. But I got wisdom. I never just did what people told me. I questioned everything. When I look back, it is really no surprise that I started working at 12.”
Jessica Alba Grew Through The Difficulties She faced In Life:
Early in Jessica Alba’s life, she was dealt some difficult cards. As a kid, she twice suffered from partially collapsed lungs, she had a ruptured appendix and she suffered from asthma. Alba also had a cyst, and endured a pneumonia almost 4 to 5 times a year. She also admits to have had OCD as a kid and often felt alone as her family was constantly on the move as her young father was in the Air Force. “The most important thing I have learned in life was that being a teenager wasn’t forever. I had a hard time being a teenager.” She also never felt a sense of belonging because of her diversity – she wasn’t white skinned and she was always “shunned” for not being Latino enough. But Alba did her best to shrug it all off. In 2001, she faced another health issue as she had a kidney infection which made her Anorexic for some time. But she again battled through and returned to her normal self. She has discussed her mother as an inspiration and her advice to have stuck with her “And that being a beautiful person on the inside is what matters.” As for her career as an actress, she has faced a lot of critics who persistently gave her a hard time for her roles and different critiques, but Alba always brushes it off with class.
Jessica Alba Found What She Loved Over And Over Again Through Life And Went For It With Certainty:
Jessica Alba was quick to make a decision, when she was only 5 years old, she wanted to become an actress. She claims “I used to come to Beverly Hills for auditions as a kid and think, “Why don’t I live here? Why don’t I drive that car?” By age 11 she would finally persuade her mother to take her to acting competitions in which she would win the grand prize of getting free acting classes. She was then signed by an agent 9 months later and she would quickly appear in 2 national commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penney. Jessica Alba would also get featured in some independent films. These were some of the very essential building blocks to being able to begin her career later. Upon finishing high school, she quickly enrolled at the Atlantic Theatre Company to get more knowledge on her passion. Her big break came when she beat out 1200 others for the part on James Cameron’s Dark Angel. Later in her life, when she was somewhat done with her acting career, she realized that with raising kids, she struggled to find chemical free products and decided to create a new company called “The Honest Company”. It blew up and she has become a full time entrepreneur for a great cause. When anyone purchases any product, the company gives back to families in need. She believes “I wish I was more educated but I make do with the tools I was given in life.”
“Living in L.A., everyone likes to mold you and change you. I don’t care about fame, I don’t care about being a celebrity. I know that’s part of the job, but I don’t feed into anyone’s idea of who I should be.”
– Quote by Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba is very enthusiastic about caring for the world she lives in. She offered her acting abilities for free to raise money and awareness for AIDS. She has even helped with advertising for the 2008 election by having picture of her wrapped in black tape and she boldly stated “I think it is important for young people to be aware of the need we have in this country to get them more active politically,”. She’s done a bunch of charity work for many different organizations from Project HOME, RADD, Revlon Run, to Habitat for Humanity, Soles4Souls and the SOS Children Villages. Alba is certainly not just a pretty face, but someone who has a strong sense of urge for bettering the world around her.
“The secret to using power is not to use it. Just having it is enough.”
