Mo Gawdat: An Algorithm For Happiness

A Google executive, Mo Gawdat, shared his algorithm for happiness and the formula that certainly assisted him in his own life after losing his son. Mo goes on to define happiness as that peaceful feeling of gratitude and life events meeting our expectations. He also dives in to explain his version of the glass half full concept. “I can either chose to suffer, or I can choose to sort of accept life as harsh as it has become and reset, make that the zero-point and try to make that slightly better than it is today, and slightly better tomorrow.” Mo’s mission is to make 10 million people happier and he understands it won’t bring his son back, but it will be slightly better than the day he left.

“Happiness is not about what the world gives you – happiness is what you think about what the world gives you.” – Mo Gawdat
